I've never heard of any women liking shorter men but I guess you never know. Most times women prefer the man to be taller than them. Like wise, I prefer the women to be shorter than me(but I'm 6"2 so that's not a problem). Nevertheless, height doesn't seem to be the most important thing because I don't really hear people talk about height unless they are ridiculously tall like say 6"8. But if you are 5"2, women who are say 5"9 probably wouldn't be a match. Maybe stick to the 4"10 to 5"4 range.

I defined "short" as "markedly outside a bell curve of average height for men", not "shorter than women".

Even then...yeah, I still don't care.

Do people actually reject people who don't fall within four inches or so of their own height?
Like...often?

My sister is like that. She explicitly stated once that she will not date a guy that is shorter than her. She is 5 foot 8. Perhaps she has lightened up a bit by now (she is 26) but you might be surprised how many women won't date a guy that is shorter than they are. Of course, most of those people congregate in the same types of places, such as bars and clubs, and any other place that shallow people tend to gather at. It's sort of how some guys won't date a girl that is fat.

Well, I am the same height as you and also diagnosed with AS, and I am married. So at least one woman likes a man who happens to be 5'2" and has AS.

This tells you very little about the probability of finding someone suitable. Finding someone depends a lot on who you are (personality, values, strengths and weaknesses, interests) and where you are.

I really think it's a myth that height matters to women.

I've seen lots of short guys with pretty girlfriends. I'm tall (6'2") and can't get s**t....

One of my best female friends is 6'3" ish. So she is really tall. Yes she has dated a lot of taller men, well up into the 7foot range but the guy she has been off again, on again with since she was 12 (they date for a few years, break up and date other people, then date each other again, and still obsess over each other constantly) is only 5'6" and looks like a hobbit. I hope they end up getting married together in the end. They are so perfectly matched and love each other and have history going back nearly 2 decades even though they are not quite 30. She has been married and has 2 children now and he is a semi famous local celeb now. He has been with his current girlfriend for 4 years and would leave for my friend if she said so. It would make a great love story.

So yes, shorter men can get taller women and some women are not shallow enough to care about height.

Would it be harder for a shorter / smaller man to dress attractively?

Yes, it is tougher for a shorter man to dress well.

Clothing sold for short males often assumes they are in their awkward growing years.

Not only are the styles inappropriate for mature men, but the proportions are off.

Short guys have a very raw deal if you ask me.

At least overweight women can lose weight. It's not a set factor.

Well, I've read Tom Cruise uses platform sneakers/shoes to add a couple inches.
