So, you gonna ride that pony? (At least we can tell it's a pony, err, I mean girl.)

If that means sex, then I wouldn't think so.

It can mean that, but it can also mean take that opportunity. Her boyfriends will come and go, and they can be dumped for a real connection.

Shrox,
Why do you see this as some "golden opportunity" for this young man? You post as though he has nothing going for him. Is this how "you" feel? Do you feel you have nothing going for you so this looks like some sort of golden opportunity. This girl's an airhead! She's NOT a quality girl. This is NOT an opportunity, it's a freakin' disaster waiting in the wings.

You're assuming far too much about this girl and the dynamics of their relationship based on a post. A young person needs relationships to build developmental and coping skills when dealing with others.

Perhaps having a relationship will fulfill his needs and sense of purpose better than being an aerospace engineer or rocket scientist.

You've haven't GOT a CLUE! Do you?

Thanks for all the advice guys. There really was no reason for me to worry about it. Here's a little snippet from our conversation as we walked over to the recital hall:

"Blah blah blah my boyfriend blah blah blah..." Then the guy shows up to watch the thing with us.

Oh inability to figure people's intentions correctly, why do you hate me. Well this is the second time something like this has happened. Oh well, I didn't let it ruin my day.

So, the purpose of "you" was to keep "him" on his toes. Put your nose back in your books.
The NT world will ruin you. Stay away from what you can't figure out or understand. Sit back and learn by watching the NT world rip each other apart. In other words, be a spectator...in the end, You, yes, You will have the last laugh.

Not really, no. I'd happily take a mortgage, simple life, 9-5 job, white picket fence and support a semi-hot housewife that fed me my protein and kept my balls drained over being a sheltered Aerospace scientist that's afraid of women and relationships.

Not at all. The poster seems interested, isn't that enough? When I was young I was I thought I was exactly that, "nothing going for me". But in reality I was an artist starting to do well, I only thought I had little to offer. And maybe I do tend to see the possibly of love through rose colored glasses...
