In the same boat here. Finding the right person is hard especially where I live and people are always in a rush. I look like a normal person and some people appreciate me but getting someone new to understand me is not that easy.

Well, it's true that life isn't fair. I just don't see how it's something to do with "these days".

And I'm not sure that we'd all be any better off if life was fair.

I'm richard, 37 and got apsergers syndrome, I was diagnosed in 1998. I've always treated girlfriends like princesses and loved them, not been too clingy but definately loving. I have to say it's virtually impossible these days to find the right person. I'm happy with life, I smile all the time, act silly and have a laugh, but I think if other people with aspergers are like me, then it must be in general, near impossibly for us to find love. One thing's for sure, if you haven't got the looks you're sh*t out of luck.

you have dated people in the past, according to your own statement. so it can't be "all about looks" unless you recently became ugly and used to be much better looking. it sounds like you have problems maintainng relationships as opposed to starting them, so it can't be about looks really.

that is a very sage statement. i had not thought of it that way. if we all got what we actually deserved, perhaps we'd be worse off than we think!! !
