From what I can tell, the countryside areas are less dangerous. But I gather that the city has a big problem with violent crime and might be best avoided.

No, I'm a very pink-skinned white Englishman with a massive beer gut and in dire need of a shave.

Well it nice to see someone have an understanding of the place as most people have no idea were and what Guyana is. I live in cailforina were people are mostly Mexican, mexcian mixed, white and orintenial aisan, and african American. Am guessing your from England there seems alot of guyanaes there.

My dad really likes vegemight I don't know how it spelled. But I know it's English food. I don't know how people like that stuff

Most people in the UK don't really know where Guyana is, which is a bit shocking, seeing as we used to run the place.

Not where I live. It's very white up here. The main Caribbean populations are in Manchester, Birmingham and London. Preston (the nearest city to me) used to have a Caribbean population but it has dissipated over the decades.

It's spelt "Vegemite". ;)

Vegemite is Australian. Marmite is British. :)

No, you're right on that score. I can't be doing with Marmite either (though I've never had Vegemite). It might just be palatable if you spread it lightly on a piece of toast a couple of times a year but it's not worth buying some just for that.

What's your opinion on Bovril?

You don't eat Bovril, you drink it. Quite nice if you're on a diet, though, with its rich flavours.
