How about 'sluggish arson gang'

People seem to take forever to get me, most people don't bother, too much hard work.

Those who do are richly rewarded (I imprison them in my dungeon)

At first I come across as shy and aloof and people avoid me so that they dont disturb me or something.
As they get to know me things improve a lot.

Thank you both but thats probably due to the fact that we are communicating through a screen.
Ive been trying to work on this issue for a few years(a classmate said that he didnt expect me to be friendly/funny after sitting near me for two months some years ago and it was kind of a wake up call) and Ive made some improvements but there are some areas that still need some work(unexpected touching freaks me out and the other person is usually dissapointed when they see my reaction...)

Yes, I'm a slow-burner too.

I tend to open up a lot more to people who I really get on with.

I've met a variety of slow-burners AS and NT, and all I have to do is be myself around them. I never pretend/Never pretended to be someone I'm not.

I might be a legitimate slow-burner these days, haven't always been but ever since I started coming to grips with my own complexities in maybe the past ten years and just how much time it takes for both them and me to know what we're in for....lol....its not even a choice really.

I think I always have been. More than anything, I believe it has a lot to do with my disinterest in social interaction. Makes it quite difficult to get to know me as I have to be comfortable with the person before I want to have any kind of discussion beyond things that interest me. (and even things that interest me aren't guaranteed to get me to talk)

I'm just too lost in my own thoughts, really.
