It may have been fast but my preferences and goals were made very clear to her, I can't have someone smoking when I want to be in a healthy environment and lead a healthy lifestyle. I'm not her father, it's not my responsibility, if she wants to smoke, that is her choice to make but I don't have to associate myself with it.

Preferences are preferences and rules are rules, without them, a relationship lacks direction or a sense of mutual understanding and respect.
