Depends where they live. The laws can vary a great deal from place to place. Given the ages of the two people in question the best thing to do is go really slow. There is a big difference between 15 and 17. Much less so when it is 17 and 19.

You'll have to put it out there. That's what I had to do. After 9 months of him not getting my hints and not responding to my flirting, I started composing an email to spell it all out for him. I sent it and now he knows. I think for him that was the only way to really let him know how I felt. Although he did mention that it "seemed I had taken an interest in him" but I had taken more than an interest in him, I had fallen madly in love with him.

Omg, seriously, 2 years diffrence can get procecuted? Me thinks those laws are american. See i dont live in america, where i come from if it is 2 years diffrence its fine but for example a diffrence like 18 and 14 isnt seen as correct it still is leagal as long as no sexual acts are involved, (leagal age of to have sex is 16)
