So don't change guys...

The hottest, most attractive things in the world are honesty and integrity...

Scan through the whole attractivness thread on men, and you wiil see... intellegence, sense of humour, humility, honesty and integrity....at the TOP of what women want...

We don't care about looks or status etc.. just YOU.. who YOU are as a man.... cause those qualities are what MAKE you a REAL man! :)

I have just been used and abused by the last macho doofus ever... he pretended to be a nerd, cause he was an aspie, and took advantage of me cause I am an aspie too.... but a bad temper, selfishness and lack of self controll are the most immature unnattractive qualities around.... Plus the ARROGENCE.... he thinks he is good looking, but it last for two seconds if you open your mouth and nothing but BS spews out... ;)

He tried to make me feel bad yet again, but my nerd friends, not even knowing anything was wrong make me feel so good every day that this last blow only lasted an hour or so......

I am mad he ripped me off and owes me money, but actually glad top loose HIM,,, HE is no loss... just what he stole from me.... (being a single mom and all... how appalling! ) 8O
Anyhoo... shine on! Your day has come!! !

Happy Thtar Warth Day! May the fourth be with you!! !! :D

Good job that he's gone!! ! I had the Aspie Brute-Squad at the ready!! They are gonna be bummed now, (wait he still owes you money....hee hee) but there's always another as*hole out there. You seem like a very sweet girl and definitely don't need a guy like that.

ps. thank you for the Nerd Guy pep-talk. I have found a nerdy-girl on OKCupid (imagine that) and we have been texting, we work crazy schedules so we haven't been able to meet yet. But, I have my fingers crossed!

Sapiosexual - I love it!

One of the most pleasant surprises I found when I started online dating is how many ladies appreciate a nerdy/geeky dude. 8)

I used to be nerdier in high school, now I'm at the awkward stage where I'm not nerdy anymore, but I'm not a cool club going Natty Ice drinking bro either. Oh well.

Every single guy I've ever liked has been a nerd.

I am proud of myself.

Yeah, it's weird in that, some of my hobbies are super duper nerdy hobbies, too nerdy for nerds, really. I'm pretty well obsessed with old Japanese music, and a big anime fan, but on the other hand, I like cars, weightlifting, figure skating, which aren't "nerdy" hobbies (though figure skating is a sport full of weird introverted folks.) I think the main thing is I don't keep up with nerd "fashion" so to speak, as in I don't keep track of the trends going on, and actively participate in "nerd culture" or whatever. Like a lot of my friends after high school got into tabletop RPG gaming. Me, I didn't (though I've tried D&D before, sorta fun,) but for them, it was an issue of the tabletop RPG gaming giving them a good social group and social time, and not so much their actual interest in the games. I didn't understand this until recently. But, there's just a seeming distance between me and "nerd culture" now, I still have friends into that stuff, but on a whole, I feel about as awkward there as I do in a room full of "bros" or "preps" or whatever.

And my clothing and dress is pretty "preppy" as in high school I wore really crappy clothes, almost like an unintentional grunge look, now I buy preppy clothes at Salvation Army for about no money. I'll get a pair of, say, Hilfiger jeans for $2-3, Polo t-shirts for sometimes 33c, etc. I figure I don't need my clothes to express me in anyway, and it's just pointless if I totally don't care about what people think to spend $20 a pop on shirts with funny slogans or something on them to express how much I don't care about what people think. So I like the preppy clothes in that they provide good social camouflage and don't make me stand out.

Oh well, c'est la vie. I don't really think I'd get along with too many "nerd" girls anyway, for basically the reasons I've stated above. Maybe one day I'll meet a girl in the position I'm in. I might already have, but only time will tell.

Have you ever dated any of those nerds, mellisamouse?

I was gonna say, the op sounds like she was dating a "badboy" and had nerdy friends. Now that badboy is gone he is likely to be substituted by another with the same charm this one gave her. And good nerdyfriends will stay friendzoned

The "geeks/nerds are hot/cool/the nicest" is a common phrase said by many women who never dated any of this breed of men.

Of course, they would blame geek men for being too shy.

Maybe the issue is that the women are not talking nerdy

Actually change can help to an extent and it will help confidence. I don't understand why change is a negative term as people always think it involves compromise, change can improve your life and you don't need to make a total compromise of who you are.
