What how big of differences are they? She's catholic and your protestant? My catholic grandma married my jewish grandfather. They had a happy marriage and settled things amibiacly. (he passed away). You're not a satanist are you?

I recently got out of a relationship with an aetheist and I'm a christian. Not why we broke up, but I think it's better to understand that those differences can be a pretty big deal. For some people those differences don't matter and for others they do. I probably wouldn't date a non-religious person again just because it creates a lot of problems and makes everything harder. So see this as a good thing, for both of you since if one of you gave in to please the other it wouldn't end well.

I have a lot of respect for religions (having grown up a conservative Protestant Christian of the Reformed variety), but hardly agree with almost any of them.... I respect the beliefs of my 'ex-girlfirend' quite a bit.

Hoping this doesn't turn into another PPR....

I don't have less respect to religious people, but not toward for religions themselves tho.
