Schedule a time for something - whatever activity that will get you near some girls. Make it like an appointment. Sitting at your computer isn't living and it's not getting you out of your loneliness. If anything, it's making it worse. Stop it. Replace it.

As for meeting girls, if you want to meet a caring, accepting girl (this is what you want over hotness - don't be fooled), you might volunteer someplace where caring girls also volunteer, like a homeless shelter, animal shelter, kids' center, a hospital or old folks home, save an extinct species, save a tree, etc...; something you'd also be interested in as well.

Volunteering and helping others is a great way to beat the blues as well as meeting some of the nicest people in the world.

the only time i've really been hanging with women is either when i do work study or when i'm hanging with other people that aren't in my major (the audio recording major is a near-complete sausagefest), which is very rare.

I've had feelings of this lately. I just don't know what to do, since I live so desolate! I could use help on this front too.

I actually went in to work on my day off today just to help out and socialize... without the pressure of being expected to work, it was kinda' fun! I got to help anyone who needed it... (there's a dedicated "support" team who are often swamped and unable to help when needed.)

I might do that again... it felt good and I think I made a couple new friends in the process!

Wow, good deal. You probably even scored a few points with your boss.
