While it is culturally and socially not accepted to say you loved someone you have only recently met, I think someone with AS doing it is not necessarily a sign that he or she does not grasp the concept of what love is. People with AS just have trouble expressing themselves properly, and it might be it means they either misjudged their feelings, or they just do not know that other people do not fall in love that fast. I am emotionally blunt. It takes rather large amounts of feelings to change my disposition towards another human being, and I'd assume if I'd ever loved someone, I'd love them with all of my heart and soul from the very moment I realized.
