Greb and EstherJ are completely right.

I don't like this pseudo-psychology stuff either. "Getting out there" for example only works if you're normal, or handsome, or what have you.

You know what? This is most certainly the reason. I am different from everybody I know and nobody wants a relationship with somebody they cannot relate to. Therefore, I do not have a chance.

I am still going to try, though. Rejection hurts more than I would like to admit, but I am stubborn.

I think I am not making any sense...

You know what makes me feel really bad? According to a few women whose opinions I asked for, the approach I am going to attempt could really work. But I know it will not, because I am the real problem in this situation I am in. If it were any other guy doing exactly the same thing I will do, he would probably be successful.

Changing the font size is fun!

Sorry for this terrible joke, by the way.

Or you spend enough time reading threads with titles like "10 reasons why you have trouble hooking up" and taking OKcupid questionnaires.

getting "out there" works if it means you find like-minded people, sub-cultures that you are more likely to get along with that contain potentials partners, who perhaps dont think much of "normal or handsome".
Thats just upping the stats.

"handsome" is nonsense, real beauty don't work like that. You need to "Get out there" to people who realise that, and who aren't so shallow that they think "handsome" has any value. Its boring.

Unfortunately that's not how it works in the real world or there wouldn't be so many great people in the "single" boat.

all this applys to me also i need to build my confidence up i think.
i found when i was focusing on bodybuilding i was more confident and had more "balls" so my mates said.
so now im getting back into it after my accident i hope this will help me again but im thinking of useing testosterone (in a few months) as i belive this will help with my confidence also plus id like to make myself into the kind of guy a girl wants because of his body as hopefully they could look over my oddities then...

I can sum it down to 3 checks.

1- do you have a penis and/or consider yourself to be a heterosexual male?

2- do you not look like an underwear model?

3- Do you have any sort of social difficulties?

If you answered yes to any of the above it is why you're having trouble "hooking up". If you got 3 strikes then you're out.

11. You don't recognize "Do you know anything fun to do around here?" meaning "I wanna bone you hard."

12. You're so different from NTs, that what they consider "normal" you consider alien, and vice versa.
This definitely applies to me .To find any kind of connection with a single ,available woman seems like an impossibility.Like the majority of Aspies I am terrible at decoding any sort of flirting and also am very unskilled at expressing my romantic feelings. What works for 95 % of the population in regards to dating wouldn't work for me

If you have #3, the rest doesn't matter apparently. I'm in fantastic shape (no 6 pack but very fit body) and am 6'6" along with the criteria in 1 and I'm still having no luck. I'm getting some attention but my social difficulties are like a brick wall just by itself.
