Crickey I was on a few dating websites for months on end, and I can honestly say it was a huge disappointment. Still a lot better than having to deal with it in real life. For me, that would be a nightmare. As a woman, what puts me off immediately is a lack of grammar and an obvious intention that all they are after is sex. I have heard from some men friends, that they think a lot of women are unreliable. But I see this as not getting the facts straight from the start. Like everything else in life, I love originality. So when I got messages like "hiya" or "wow you look hot", or "so, what you up to?" I wouldn't even bother talking. If the person engaged me in a remotely interesting conversation an refused to show me what they looked like, that would be a bonus for them, because I wouldn't be naturally and subconsciously judge them on looks. But that might not be for everyone. The only guy out of the thousands that contacted me, that eventually won me over, was one with a very interesting colloquy and whose interests were very similar to mine. An aspie of course :D
