I certainly don't look young at 38, however, I can totally relate to the sentiments expressed by BlueMax. There certainly is a population of people my age, who are doing everything in their power, to make me look good in comparison.

I have been checking out different dating sites lately and have noticed that 99% of the women my age (I'm 34) look old to me.
Is that something to do with my Aspergers? It's like the image I see of myself is younger than I am so when I look at people my own age (biologically speaking) it seems almost creepy to think about dating them.
Does anyone else feel that way?

It sure seems like this to me since I honestly think I'm better looking than most guys younger than me in their 20s. For years I've only ran cold water over my head/face in the shower which is great for anti-aging although I look good anyway.

:x :x In my case I look young still, but that seems to attract older men looking for a fling with a much younger girl. Some of these older, married men are close to my age too. I have to correct them and tell them my real age which is 45, not 25. It gets pretty annoying at times.

It's probably because everyone is in terrible horrible health and balloons up once they get out of high school/college.

But I'm 21, so no. Girls who are 21 look plenty good. Biologically, I feel and act old, though, so it's more the opposite problem. Most 21 year old girls I talk to, I feel like I'm talking to a kid/different generation, it's quite strange. I don't get along good with people my age, I get along better with older people.

Yes, or at least older than I'm most attracted to--but even more than the way they look, it's the way they act. Most of them have lost the childlike whimsy that I like in people, both women and men.

YES! Exactly! I'd like to dating people my age or older but it seems that the men attracted to me are younger. Well I don't think I would mind dating younger either though.

I'm the same. I usually date younger men, partly because of this. If I date someone around four years younger, we look the same age.

After visiting China all the women in Finland look like old hags to me.

But to answer your question, yes.

  The fact that I look very much younger than my peers has had it's share of problems'. Last year I went back to my old home town for a visit and hung out with an old college friend. He says I still look and act the way I did in college and bemoaned the fact that he was so old. It upset him a bit. this sort of thing happened on deployment with the Navy too. A middle-aged NT female Petty Officer wanted to know why I looked in my 20's. I could not explain my youth secret to her because I haven't a clue??? She got very angry and started saying awful stuff about me. I suppose she wanted my beauty secrets' which I don't know. Finally, and presently now when I use my Veteran's and Military ID to get discounts' there are people who do not believe I'm me on occasion. They think I am a young person using my mother's IDs' to get something cheaper. Totally annoying since I earned those fair and square.

I don't notice people my own age getting older, as much as everyone seeming younger. Most people assume I'm younger, and it does get irritating being called "young lady" when I am edging towards forty.
