Only part of beauty/attractiveness is in the eye's of the beholder, but a great aspect of it is universal and DNA encoded.

For me, I really don't pay attention to physical appearance, and most of my friends consider me weird, but I think it's normal. I usually first like their personality and then that's followed by me liking their appearance. Anyhow, if I assume you are a good,honest, friendly guy, then i would give you a 9-10, because I see no fault in your appearance.

It takes courage to ask, and for that alone I already like him. I cherish individuals that do things, or ask questions, because *they* want to, not because of what's *right* or perceived as right by society. He wants opinions on his looks on that photo. So, why not? He is not hurting anyone, is he?

Everybody is so mean. This guy looks just fine.

I can't give him a score from 0 to 10 though because I only grade women on a scale from 0 to 3 (sometimes just 1 to 3), and I'm not attracted to guys. I guess on a scale from 0 to 1, where 0 is ugly and 1 is attractive, I would give him a 1.

I dunno why people had so much to say about my post.

I know some people can think he's not cute (but I think they aren't being sincere if they give him 0/10), but even if you do, you don't have to say mean things in addition to it.

And when I said I rated people 0 to 3, that's because I don't actually rate people like that and I have to translate what I actually think into categories like that to be able to talk about beauty using the same language. The process of judging that takes place in my head is mostly unconscious and isn't very precise. This is what the categories translate to:
0- Ugly
1- Not pretty enough for me to want to date
2- Pretty enough
3- Very pretty

I visited a female friend who lives in a female only hall and I saw probably saw about 15 girls while I was there. 2 would go in 1 category, 3 in 3, and the rest would go in #2.

The post is about rating him, so it would seem incongruous to me to "not buy into the rating system" while posting a comment here.
