Isn't comparing women to food a bit Hannibal Lecter?

I like the use of a prawn salad as a metaphor for class lol

I'd retch if I had to eat either a big mac or a prawn salad - both are nasty
and likely to give you food poisoning!

Lol

What a charming way with words you have!

I have a different value system to you - it involves seeing people as individuals, not as trophies to be
collected and boasted about

I value them for themselves, not for what they represent to society's warped value system

That a very good value system you have there. sadly not everyone thinks that way.
alot of people still want the best, and only wants the ''attractive people'' or most popular.

but pua can be blame for alot of this. When I read threw pua stuff, and other dating stuff, it's
always going after the pretty bar girls, the pretty 20 something club girl.

but why not go after older women, go after gamer girls, go after girls at the library,
at a book club. PUA and dating advice is always the same type of girls.

if a guy wants to go after the more popular and pretty girl and then that his
choice but if he not getting any where with the pretty, popular girl, wouldn't
it make sense if he goes after non-pretty, non-popular girls.

when I use to go after 19-20 year old girls, I got no where.
but since I've been going after than just 19-20 years girls, I've met alot
really nice lady. ( most are married or in a relationship)
and I made a few female friends.

and I think I've done well with women, I had a girlfriend once (ok,twice but only one ''really counts'')
got laid, and have many great lady friends.

so, Im good.

This sounds like you tried being deep to the point where it makes no sense. First it cmpares food which like people vary in personal taste and uses some made up guideline as to which is better. Followed then by justifying those who have high standards which usually they don't meet themselves yet still feel they deserve and talks of finding something of value on the trash bin after its been used up.

Because pus makes a target the type of girl that's more often to put out in a way to make the system easier. 99% of people in a library aren't looking to hook up, but at least 50% on a club wouldn't mind or went there to. That's all pus has gong for it. Its just a repetitive motion in hopes of finding someone willing. Almost like calling tech support

do, anyone believe that a small percent of single women are getting most attention from single men?

take online dating, you have 30 guys go after 1 woman, and now times that by 3, so now you have 90 guys going after 3 women.
so you have 87 women that are not getting chase by any of these men.

and in real life, you have single woman who getting hit on by tons of men, and alot of single women who are getting ignored.
and of course it going to be tough for men, because if alot of these single men are chasing after a small percent of single women, then these single women
can be picky and choosy.

and now men have to compete with other men to get a date, you ask a women out, only to find out, she been asked out by 10 men all ready.
so, now it's a competion between the 9 other men, and there can only be one winner and 9 losers.

and online dating is even worsE, when you have to compete against 30 other guys to get a date.

I would say the men have it just as bad - maybe worse - when it comes to dating... especially online. Those OKCupid reports show the ladies being SUPER picky, finding only about 10% of all members "attractive" at best! Only the hunky guys with no shirts get any real activity or replies. An great-but-average guy like me doesn't have much hope. *pokes tummy* ;)

Really, it's the same as school... the attractive cool crowd all hang around and screwing each other, laughing at the inadequate "others".

No, I'm not being overly pessimistic... a couple of 'em actually told me a little about that whole 'inner circle' going on... I was as flabbergasted now as I was ~22 years ago!

if you look at online dating, you see it's a small group of women who get the most message. and the rest women ( though they do better than non-hunk men)
getting not as much. on early post on this thread. I have a link that shows 5 women ( and 5 men too) and 2 of the women had a combined of over 900+ message from men.
and the other 3, only had a combined of 135. so you have 900 guys going after only two women. and one of the woman had over 500 men messaging her.

I've never wanted to be part of the popular crowd anyway

I don't rate these people full stop

It's all about exhibitionism and ego whereas I just want a quiet life

yes it would be nice to have people hanging on your every word and noticing you exist sometimes but
I feel there's far more kudos in achieving a certain level of success with the opposite sex when you didn't have all the
Aces in the first place

Very interesting.

For online dating, there are a couple dynamics going on.

The sites preferred by men (OKC, POF, etc) are predominantly male. The sites preferred by women (eharmony, chemistry.com) are predominantly female. Therefore, the men and women have a hard time finding each other. Furthermore, it may be that men are more likely to engage in online dating. Women tend to have a more developed sense of shame, and online dating has a stigma attached to it for both men and women.

For dating other places, there is a similar dynamic going on. The largest cities on the coasts of the U.S. and Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver in Canada have an overwhelming majority of single women while most of the smaller cities and rural areas have an overwhelming majority of single men. Thus, women in New York City constantly complain about being single, as do the men in Arkansas.

In addition, it could be that there are more single women than single men who prefer to be single, or men may be more motivated as a whole at the ages at which there are more single women (30 and up). Or there could be a higher % of single men than single women who are absolutely unacceptable as dating partners for anyone based on cultural prejudice, though with the obesity rate among women as it is, I find this unlikely.

If you live anywhere except a large coastal city (the southern coast does not qualify) and you are a single man, this, my friend, is your problem. If you want improved prospects, move to one of the following cities:

Seattle
Boston
San Francisco
New York
Washington, D.C.
Toronto
Montreal
Vancouver
Los Angeles

I posted an article backing this up with statistics awhile back, but I'm too lazy to find it and repost it.

Expired prawn salad. Lovely. Remind me to never eat your cooking.

It pisses me off no end that he gets all this attention!

He doesn't merit it!

Its the only reason he's ever been around. Except after me and a few others got to show his bad side the only way to get any attention and feel special is to do bad things. Hence why there's a sudden change how he talks

I've done that a bit myself in terms of being deliberately facetious to get attention but no way on this earth do I have the ability to take over a thread like he does every time he turns up!

I wouldn't mind if he said anything half interesting or amusing!

Everyone does, the difference is doing it once in a while and doing it every single time you say anything.
