I have to disagree on this one... For me it's a definite turn on when a person has "nice eyes". Even if eye balls themselves are just "round wet balls" you have to agree that people can have wider or more narrow eyes etc. among any other individually unique facial features. For me the attractive factor comes from the combination of the shape of the eye as well as colour and the way one "uses" their eyes. Some people have a specific "twinkle" in their eyes that's difficult to explain in words, but conveys that the person has more going on between his/her ears than meets the eye at first (as to speak).

I never get complimented on my eyes, I got told once by a friend that my eyes were very blue and that it was a good thing but that's about it!

Our eyes are probably mysterious to strangers as we don't engage in regular eye contact. That might be part of the attraction.
