"You should quit your job so we can date. I think we were made for each other baby."
And I said it seriously. then everyone in earshot looked at me. then my barista laughed.
then everyone else laughed.
So I thought it was a success and left the store feeling confident.
What do you guys think I should do next?

I'm curious, after all the advice you were given why did you decide to do that?

What makes you think his job is in the way of dating after work hours?

I keep tending to figure that well I have nothing to lose.

And I don't really think that his job is actualy in the way. I think he should get a better job.

As stated: people that work making beverages/meals have to be friendly for their job.

However you can try to find out stuff about him once there arent that many people and see where things go.

Ive had some decent conversations with cashiers that werent in a rush for example

Should I try to let him know, or should I just make my coffee at home from now on?

Did he touch your hand?

There is no perfect way to approach someone. You just have to kinda DO IT so I think its great that you made the leap! You did it the way I have in the past- where I make a joke out of it yet they also know its serious so then if they are into it then they can make a move, say smthg next. Its as good a mthod as any bcs you are not TOTALLY sticking your neck out, its fun and if it doesnt work out, you can just be like hey whatever, I'm confident enuf to try- whatever...NEXT! ha! let us know how it goes.

This tactic works well as woman-to-man but not man-to-woman.

I expect he's gonna accept unless you look like scarecrow.

You think you're in love with someone you've never spoken to.
Is "in love" the new term for "kinda attracted to" or something?

go for it. Ask him out. If he rejects you, you will feel better because you will not be wondering any more.
