that may be true but to specifically send it to a guy suggests she wouldn't mind him calling her.

I've just called her. She said that she didn't really have access to her e-mails this week because she's been in training (she's an industrial psychologist, probably training to be a consultant). Regardless, we are going to meet on Saturday as planned.

Unfortunately, she texted me this morning to cancel our date. Apparently she was sick and also had a doctors appointment this morning. I replied back to ask her if she would like to try again after I get back from the conference. So, hopefully we can organise another date but we'll see.

If she is ill a better response would be 'I hope you feel better soon'. Don't pressure her into rearranging the date when she feels like crap.

I did say that in my reply as well. I don't think that I pressured her into anything, I simply asked the question, saying that if we did, it would have to be after I get back. No new arrangement has been suggested.

So, I'm back from the conference. I don't know what to say to her if I contacted her again. Since she cancelled our date because she was feeling sick, should I just ask her if she's feeling better?

I....think she just said yes not to disappoint you. Don't bother contacting her any more and move on.
Sorry to hear that, bro :( thought you had it in the bag.
Sucks when people do that!

I would text her and ask her how she's feeling. You don't have much to lose.
If you try to set up another date and she flakes out on that as well then you will know for sure that she doesn't want to see you.

I don't want to overanalyse this. I've got no reason or evidence to believe that she wasn't telling the the truth. She mostly likely was just sick and had to cancel like she said. I just don't know how to ask for another date without it seeming like I'm nagging. I also don't know if I should text her or call her.
