Who cares? Take them and run!

"I know I can always come back to talk to you because you're always honest and supportive."
"You really stick up for what you know is right and I respect that so much."

I feel kind of vain typing this. But it really makes me happy when people say these things, especially since I'm so self-conscious.

I think a lot of aspies get those types of compliments. I have the impression that many of us are honest and loyal and stick to our ideas of right and wrong, even when it's detremental to us.

"You're a very special young man and deserve the best that life has to offer." An old friend of my mom's told me that when she sent me a special birthday picture on FB back in May, she has been a friend of mine and mom's for a long time, she went to school with my mom and even saw me a month or two after I was born. She's a very sweet lady.

That is really sweet.
[off-topic] Do you ever find yourself thinking 'But I'm -not- young' when poeple use that phrase on you? [/off-topic]

Sometimes, but mostly I feel very young, I don't feel that old inside most of the time. Most of the time I still feel like a teenager in my head sometimes. If that makes any sense. I think what I'm trying to say is, I am young at heart, and age is just a number to me, I look past it. :)

"Of course my sister is strange. Strange is good." My little brother explaining me to his best (and only) friend.

I have also been told some wonderful lies that I have a nice ass, but I'm too skinny, I barely have one! Lol

I've also been tipped money because of my legs, but my all time favorite is my AS lil bro's quote above. :)

Someone said I have one of the hottest faces they've ever seen. I think they lie!

That's a great one. Every parent should have kids who feel like that, and every child should have parents who make them feel like that.

Nah, they aren't. If beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, then you could look like a supermodel or like moss-covered tree-trunk, it does not matter. They see you as hot, end of story.

I believe my sister told me once, "You're amazing, and you really are going to make a great husband to a woman". In reality, when I learn to cook a little, and clean my house more efficiently, then that might be true.

That's all i can wonder, how many are true, and what's been held back.

"You're huge like a horse!" (not referring to my height, to something's size )

"Are women blind?" - from a former female schoolmate.
