Yes, I've found that too.
A lot of guys seem to be jealous of guys whose hair grows more quickly.... even though (ironically) they then whine about how often they need to shave, if they get a girlfriend who isn't keen on kissing them when they have face-pubes or stubble.

Personally, I prefer guys who are comparatively hairless.

To me, the guys I know who walk about with stubble just look (at best) like they're lazy and couldn't be bothered to shave or (at worst) downright hobo-like. ;-) I'm really not wild on the wiry face-pube effect, or being sandpapered.... but that's because of the sensation of being touched, and not about how it looks. I have very soft skin though, and I assume that it bothers people with more leathery skin less than it bothers me.

Some of my guy friends confuse me, because they will write mopey FB posts about how they are unable to get girlfriends - but then walk about with an entire shrub sticking out of their faces, or constant hobo-stubble. 8O offputting much !

:-) But all of that said, I think a lot of people can get quite into snuggling into a full-grown beard.
And, my understanding is that a lot of women find the stubble look stylish and attractive visually, even if they don't like how it feels against their skin.

I know what you mean by the feel. I have had some "kissing rashes" from guys with stuble/beards, so that can be annoying. To me it looks pretty good though.

I don't care for big beards. It looks like when you sweat all of it would go there, like a sweat sponge.Hairy chests are nice, they look snuggly.

:? For me, "annoying" is an understatement.

It's like having a cactus shoved in your face.... often quite hard, because some of my exes just could not grasp the fact that if they had not bothered to shave then I was not likely to be anything like as keen as they are when it comes to kissing.... or would behave like it was a matter of personal offence that I didn't want to be kissing them if they let their face get into that state.

I actually really don't like long beards, say over an inch in length, especially if they are black on pale skin. But I am biased, thanks to a child molester I met once :(

I predominately have stubble, which I trim if it gets too long. My stubble is like steel wool so it blunts razor blades, no joke. However I wouldn't grow it too long, it would be irritating.

I have hair on my legs, obviously arm pit, private parts, etc.

I have the line down my abdomen. I don't have a pelt on my chest but there is some hair.

With women, maybe I wouldn't particularly like hairy armpit (or beards), but a little hair in the private area make more sense to me than totally shaved off, which seem too pre-pubesant.

I wonder as a culture we are increasingly getting hair phobic?

Yeah, I think our culture is too focused on youth. Many women even wax their arms, which I find totally uncalled for. Are we trying to look like ten-year-olds? Thin, hairless bodies, small noses, big eyes... this is what kids look like. Except with boobs.
Most older people don't have a problem with how their age group looks. It is the younger generation that seems to have a problem with it. Well, many of us oldies aren't attracted to them either. Being pretty doesn't hold a candle to experience and know-how.

It's like younger people are deciding what we should all be attracted to.
Who the hell gave the steering wheel to the youth, anyway? They have no idea how to drive this bus. No wonder the world is screwed.

Long time ago. Not super bad, but bad enough. I'm over it. But I did think for a long time that was the reason I was such a freak.

Now I know there are LOTS of reasons why I am such a freak.

The black beard thing remains, though.

I don't mean to make light of a bad situation, but this video seems especially relevant just now....

:-) I want to balance that out though, by saying that I think it's nice when guys who have a full beard are really happy with having one.

I have a friend who has a beard which makes him look like an overgrown goat, but he's happy with it ; and I'm happy that he's enjoying having one.

He went through a phase of plaiting it up, which made him look like a viking..... a lot of his guy friends took the piss out of it constantly during that time, so he asked me what I thought and I wasn't sure what to say - so I just said that it really didn't matter what the other guys thought, so long as he was happy with it himself.

I'm more into men without facial hair, but I wouldn't care if he has a small mustache or a soul patch.

Each to their own, a soul patch looks like something has died on your chin.

The old already f****d up the the world pretty good. I think young can give them a run for their money.

But seriously some people grow out of it. My sister always said she didn't like hairy men, and also didn't like 'gingers'. She married a massive hairy ginger rugby payer. She still ribs him for being ginger, but it is not a marriage of convenience, and they are a great couple. She was a bit concerned my nephew would be ginger, and but he is blond so far.
