You are a but a butterfly, beautiful and free from the worries of this world.
Please be mine, I am nothing without you.

P.S. I love you

Yeah that's all I could do off hand.

The thread title didn't say these should be anonymous. Do these have any meaning without names..?

I dunno, it's less embarrassing than sending an actual PM, and maybe some people don't want to let themselves be known to the object of their affections. Besides, in some of them I'm sure the recipients know who they are

It didn't say either way, but if names were added, it wouldn't be a pm but a public message

This is not a romantic love message, but a friendship love message.

You have been an awesome friend and I think you are very nice and caring and I'm very lucky to call you a friend. Whatever girl you end up with will be very lucky, and I want to see you find romance and the love you deserve, soon.

Not that you should worry, since yours is so cryptic only the first sentence of the second line is readable.

Where's the fun if nobody has a clue who it's for?

To try and guess!

Honestly, I don't have a clear idea of why this kind of thread works. But the two threads of sending anonymous messages to members/anyone in your life, letters to you from me unsent, those are consistently popular, which means they definitely serve some kind of function. Of special interest is the "anonymous message to ANYONE", as the recipient of it is very, very unlikely to read it. People could perfectly write those inside some text file and then forget about them, but they still choose to put them out there on WP. I'm guilty of that too .

My theory is keeping it to yourself for too long results in bad mental things.

Besides, part of the fun is that people will post where the other has no clue, where the other has an inkling (and hey, people like to wonder and guess even if it drives them a bit crazy at times) and others who definitely know it's for them.

In my case, I could have sent it in a PM, but I prefer to send page long PM's and sending a one liner simply would have been a waste of inbox space for the other person.

Maybe give just a clue? Like which forum they can often be found in?
