All but one of the women I dated I met online then we met in town. Actually some of them one of us would have to travel a number of hours to meet. One paid for a plane ticket for me. The one guy I met through the same math class in college and he was a Star Trek fan so we clicked. The other guy dated me because he thought I was cool, a girl that played electric guitar, because he did. But we never even kiss let alone anything else and he was telling all the boys in school I slept with him. Then guys I barely knew would whisper at me in class "You're a whore". If I knew were he lived, I'd go kick his little butt.

I wouldn't do online dating, but I wouldn't have a problem with an online service hooking me up with a date. My brother did e-harmony and met a really great girl.

I would be interested in dating a girl with AS but not someone I would know had it, because being very high functioning myself, people can't tell I have it. It would just be nice if I met a girl I really clicked with and it turned out she had it, just as for her, it would just turn out that I had it.

So I wouldn't go to an online service for people with AS, because I figure if someone has it strong enough to have to go to a service for people with it, their problems might be too strong for me to pursue a relationship, I'm not a handicapped sort of person, so I wouldn't go to a site for people who are "handicapped" from dating by their AS.

Sometimes it bothers me, but mostly it doesn't.

I've kissed 6 girls, I've made it to makeout creek twice. I've never had a second date, though I had two makeout sessions with the same girl. Unfortunately, I never got below the belt...damn it.

Erm... 14. But then I am 31 years old and there are a mixture of long term relationships and ones that didn't work out, plus two which were deliberately short-term (no deception involved, we felt the same about it).

Claire, Helen, Keri, Zoe, Lisa, Ria, Mikx, Natasha, Kathy, Rachel, Prarthana, Carrie, Katie and Christine are all of the women I've dated. Note that this does not necessarily imply 'slept with' - mostly yes, some no, but that's our business.

I have been quite lucky in that I'm still friends with five of the girls I've dated, which is really good. In fact these days I've accepted that I'm just too much hassle for anyone to live with, so I have female friends to hug and talk to, but I've given up on dating. If you include meals out and cinema trips as dates then you could include Mags, Caroline and Dusty too - but they are friends and that is how I like it.
