I would bother me only slightly. I've always been pretty unattractive for most of my life, and just plain ugly during high school years. It's only in the last two years that I aged into my looks, and now look from "just OK" to "kind of handsome". So if a girl ever liked me, it would most likely be for my personality and/or dance skills, and definitely not my looks. So her saying it out loud would just be verbalizing a simple truth I had to live with since my first real date at age 18. Not saying that the truth never hurts, but sometimes the best painkiller is a river in Egypt [denial/the Nile].

My only concern from this statement would be possible infidelity in favor of a guy better-looking than me. But I'll deal with it when it comes.

shes either telling you you're ugly

or she could say that she likes you for your personality and not nececarilly calling you ugly. If a girl likes you for your personality, thats usually a good thing.

Are you good looking? If yes, then she's probably actually saying "I think you're hot and I know you know you're hot, but that's not the only reason why I'm into you"

just read a netscape article last night quoting a study, saying that the main reason people cheat is to find someone more caring. most mistresses are not as physically attractive as the spouse, e.g.

Ask her what she means. Tell her to be 100% honest and straight forward with you.

Either she is telling you she is not superficial, or she is telling you she is not attracted to your physical appearance.

In a relationship though, physical appearance is definitely important, especially in the bedroom.
