My father's side of the family is from South America but they are european by ancestry, but culturally they were more S.American than anything else. I think if I hadn't had that influence, growing up, I'd as be cold and hard as stone.

I used to entertain the thought of giving this a try, but ultimately, I decided no. Trust has always been a huge issue with me and with this, I'd have to put a LOT of trust into whatever agency I'm dishing my money to for a mail-order bride. Also, after running into people JUST ONLINE that are more unbalanced than I do, I sure as Hell am not up having someone shipped from halfway across the world, only to find out she's a fu*king psychopath/scam-artist.

There's a whole list of things I could go into that ultimately made me decide not to go through with it, but yeah, I think it's a bad idea and you're just gonna end up hurting yourself, personally.

[Slightly Off-Topic]I've seen prostitution mentioned a few times before. While ultimately it's really none of my business and I really don't care what others do with their own body as long as they leave me alone, I do feel like having to resort to a prostitute or a one-night stand for any sort of companionship as giving up and/or settling for less. Maybe it's just me and the fact that I'm too emphatic, but it's kinda disappointing and worrying to hear of Aspie males resorting to prostitution for that feeling of intimacy and closeness.[/Slightly Off-Topic]

I'm considering a mail-order bride as a possibility for the distant future, when I eventually plan to get married. I'm probably going to go with a woman from Argentina, Chile, or Uruguay. People from that region tend to look quite similar to Europeans (I prefer to marry within my race); Argentina in particular has a large Jewish population, so the residents are likely to be tolerant to Jews (like me); people from South America in general have warm personalities; and I liked that exchange student I mentioned earlier. So when it comes to mail-order brides, it's South America all the way for me.

Sounds great. Help her get her visa, she divorces you once she gets it, and she brings her husband over from the country she's in to live in the U.S.. As long as she doesn't slit your throat or steal all the cash out of your account I suppose you have a few years of happiness out of it :roll: . I swear, sometimes the world and what people feel they need to subject themselves to because of it really makes me nauseous.

That is true; you are paying a stranger to live with you. A one-night stand is one thing and only so much can be lost from it but taking someone into your household is entirely something else o.o

I'm really starting to wonder if that's about the only way most people get laid anymore, aspie or NT. It's really depressing to see what kind of complete downward spiral the entire dating scene has taken and its 20's reprocussions, its enough to make someone lose faith all together. You've even got more than enough 30 and 40 somethings who just never grew up.

Hmmm, must people really get laid? I have a boyfriend and whenever we are together we just hug, cuddle and I tickle him since his arms are sensitive. I guess I was always more of a puppy-love person.

There are probably a lot of autistic guys who have little to no desire in getting laid and are much more into that 'puppy-love' stuff you talked about. However the autistic guys who just want to get laid get all the attention.

In my case if I did not have a sex drive (lower than other guys). My interest in having a romantic relationship would fall to near zero. I have nil need to be hugged or cuddled, I do not mind it, I just do not have the need.

(or just wrong existence - I think its the human condition that has so many people enslaved to the basics, sure getting laid is nice but they overrate it like its the soul purpose for breathing which I think really goes back to evolutionary psychology).

Or they've completely abandoned any and all self-respect. Its still just really depressing to think about the fact that they know what they're doing to themselves and know it's not even close to real.

would like to point out two more thoughts:

Your ordering (or thinking of) a wife-not a prostitute. They are *thinking* wife-not prostitute.

AND

NOTHING in wedding vows says ANYTHING about sex. :wink: so....good luck!

I like the south american idea, of course-it seems rational. However, there are some sites that will help you in advance to unlock the russian heart, as there is a process for this embedded into the culture.

AND

I'd mail order. Me personally. I've thought about it. Someone from back home who'd like to come out here. But geesh, the complications. :roll:

I would consider being a mail order groom for a lady in Japan. She'd have to be attractive though.

(why? you ask? Because Japan gets all the cool stuff way before the US sees any of it. It'd be really cool to do EE work on the newest stuff when I graduate from UW.)
