What does, in your opinion have a correlation with not being able to get a date?

I've noticed a lot of guys who complain about women like anime.

Thoughts?

It is correlated with social ineptness and being odd.

And yes, too much anime gives an impression of the guy's immaturity, at least to the girls.

I could live 10,000 years, I could live until the heat death of the universe, and I would still never come close to understanding how Bronies became a "thing." It's a cartoon for little girls. It's indistinguishable from a billion other cartoons that came before it. And yet it's become this disturbing Maypole for social outcasts to dance around for years on end.
When I was in elementary school only little girls were allowed to watch MLP. Guys & older girls were teased for liking it even if they never watched it; accusing someone of liking MLP was an insult like calling them a a childish baby girl.

I have had dates that involved watching anime or playing videogames and having sex so girls with those interests do exist and they do need sex like all beings.

I don't know what really constitutes a whore but I don't label any one with term based on their sexual lifestyle, despite that it is used in a jokingly manner. They were just anime girls, the best places to find them are fantasy art classes or perhaps role playing clubs but I do know that some people pretend to be eccentric or it can become a sub genre in itself which is mediocre and the opposite of being alternative.

No, because you can just find someone who also likes anime - common interest

Lots of couples at conventions I go to.

I'm glad you told me. I assumed the vid & others I posted lately were just nos showing up for me. A couple months ago vids weren't showing up rite for me but showing up for others because of something related to my browser that I ended up having to uninstall & delete all the settings & reinstall to fix. I just assumed the problem was back.

Replace anime with animated comedies, and you've described my situation perfectly.

I find this bizarre because if someone watches Family Guy or the Simpsons, then that's ok, but anime isn't? Makes no sense.

I love Studio Ghibli films. How are you guys finding more anime stuff to watch? It's like a world I'm shut out of, but I think I would enjoy.

I would imagine it's the maturity level that would cause the guy to have trouble getting dates. Someone mentioned watching Family Guy or King of the Hill and that not being a problem but those are made for adults. Anime, and MLP are made for children. I can see how an adult would tolerate them if they were watching tv with a kid, but I can't see how any adult would have any interest in shows for young children. I'm not putting people down who like them, I'm just being up front with my opinion of the shows. I would also wonder if people who are so into children's shows would be interested in doing regular date activities, like going to a movie that is made for grownups, or to a club, or a museum, or something like that as well.

Also, if someone talks about or references anime a lot, that is going to be a huge turn off and most girls are going to write the guy off immediately.

Like I said, it's the maturity level that's important.

Here's a 4minute anime music video made with scenes from the anime, Perfect Blue. Definitely not for kids!

You could replace "anime" with "magic the gathering," or whatever, and probably see the same inverse ratio of interest in obscure thing versus how many dates they go on.

..Anime for kids.....riiiiiiight. Maybe Pokemon and Yugio but not the vast amount's of violent anime out there and theres anime with uncensored sex which is labled adults only in Hentai. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xcl8o9l0ZpE <-----click at your own risk even more violent and gory scenes like self decapitation and such.

Maybe some women have a problem with a guy liking anime because of the relationship to hentai which is anime porn.

In general, I'm seeing many people, regardless of neurotypical or not, who heavily focus on contrived characters and similarly contrived sociology are broadly affected by that - broadly, but not necessarily deeply. Even more so for those who regularly behave in those characters through cosplay. Many times, those activities are harmless, but there are a couple of old principles to consider: 1) People tend to think the way they speak; and 2) People tend to become the way they think. To the OP, Hale Bopp, do you see a parallel between the behavior you are asking about and anything common in actual anime? Specifically, is that behavior, specifically or in principle, a normal part of those cartoons?

What was it... three years ago? I know that I've seen this thread before. Was that you, HaleBopp? Weird to see you using the idea of women as a homogeneous group to try to beat AO over the head. You're playing his game, fss.
