ever been accused as a stalker
I have been accused of being a stalker and I didn't like it. Besides the obvious stuff like gathering info on someone(phone number, address, credit card, etc) threatening them, or doing obvious things to cause fear, stalking is subjective.
I hate the word cause many times it makes a situation sound worse than it actually is. "too many phone calls", "Too much texting", "Too much visiting", all depends on the person you're talking to. It's especially damaging when it happens suddenly and the accused person has no idea why they are being called that(which I'm sure is the case for many on the spectrum that were accused) but, even then what was stalking to one person could be just fine to another.

I've been accused of cyberstalking when I admitted that I would daily check my ex-girlfriends posts on forums. I did not talk to them but I've admitted it on other places & I used the term cyberstalking myself before. However like others on this thread have said, stalking is subjective. I don't consider that behavior technically stalking. Online posting & social media activity is public so it was NOT like I was spying on them violating their privacy. Plus I was not chatting with them or mentioning things they posted so I was NOT harassing them or upsetting them or violating their personal space or anything.
I also cyberstalked a celeb I have a mega huge crush obsession with. I just very regularly checked her social media & ran google searches & checked various sites. I never tried to contact her or meet her because I never came up with a plan that wouldn't seem crazy. Everything seemed very extreme, risky, &/or no chance of things going any further. I wouldn't technically call my behavior stalking either but some others would call it cyberstalking.
I would call this behavior stalking
