I had an opportunity to talk with my mom about it this morning. She said that she doesn't think nothing will ever work between us and thinks we could be a great pair and would want nothing better than to see us together. Why they keep insisting on other people is because this is the time of my life and probably my only opportunity to really get to know all sorts of people from all walks of life from all over the U.S. and the world. If we are truly meant to be with each other, which I feel is the case, it will happen. She said she made a similar mistake with staying with one person throughout college, which I never knew about.
I don't think I'll ever lose these feelings for this girl, but I'm starting to feel a bit more comfortable with the idea of going out with others. I just would like to talk to one more person about this before I decide what it is I want, but I'm getting there. As I said earlier, this has been a hard year for me and my family so I've been stressed out about things and not handling them as well as I could be.
