You just have to accept that it's not going to happen. Sounds like your glasses may be a little rose-coloured right now. Once you get over him I'm sure you will see him as the dufus he is. Honestly, he's either incredibly superficial with regard to his sexuality or he's a liar. Either way, he's not worth your devotion.
