You already invited her to the cafe - why try to make changes now?
Why change it now? I don't know but she changed. Now we're meeting tomorrow in a bar. And she insists on paying for both our meals herself to make up for that Steam game I gifted her. She thought it would be better although this seems slightly strange to me since she said she never drinks alcohol. "One glass and I'm gone" she says.

Well she wants to spend time with me. She tried to move our date forward to Friday. I would have been willing except that I'd left my phone on silent and then it was too late. I think this is a sign that I should take more initiative in spending time with her. But how much is too much? If I see her every day she'll get creeped out. If I only see her when she asks to see me she'll find me to phlegmatic. I'll just have to play it by ear and hope she can tolerate some of the small mistakes I'll inevitably make.

How about the mistakes SHE might make?

Women aren't immune to making mistakes.

The worst thing one could do on a date is to walk on eggshells.

True on all counts. Though it seems like this one (let's call her Miss M) makes less annoying mistakes than the last one (Let's call her Miss S).

Sometimes, the Venue does help.

No it doesn't - unless it's a horrible choice of venue. But no one here is that stupid.

We went to a bar. I think it went fairly well.

I would say to never do a bar unless you both have a shared interest in a particular one, or in drinking in general. I think that cafes, coffee shops, and casual restaurants usually make the best places for meeting someone.
