I like Alabama & Russian. I don't really hate any accents.

I'm from the South but don't have a very Southern accent, I really, really, really wish I could have it back. I really, really, really hate fake Southern accents.

I used to like the RP-ish English accent, but alas I don't actually hear it anymore. It's now my normal, since this is the accent that I live and work with all the time, I've become accent-deaf to it except for a few words (e.g. grant rhyming more but not exactly with taunt - can never get used to that)

I do like some South African accents, some Welsh accents, the Geordie accent and rather controversially the Brummie accent. I love it when a man calls me bab.

(Oh and technically English IS British, but British isn't always English).

The "British" people were originally Celtic peoples.

But then they realised no one could understand their unpronouncable language so they switched to English 8)
And British is also the correct way to refer to some of the original Celtic peoples in England, the islands were named after the tribes living in England and Wales.

Interesting, I wonder what their accent is like. The UK really does have a wide variety of accents, you can even tell what town a person comes from by their accent. It's great that the BBC and other stations are now using news and tv presenters with all sorts of accents. It's really interesting to hear.
