No, love. I'm afraid you have it all wrong. It's not about expectations.

The reason why I, personally, am not really interested is because a) I live in the middle of Lancashire, much too far away for you and b) I can't be doing with and have no interest in sciences. We're most likely not compatible in the least and would probably drive each other up the wall if we met.

You keep looking because you will find someone who you're compatible with eventually. :)

Come now; how could anyone with a forum name pertaining to a subset of the complex plane generated by iterated deg 2 polynomials not meet expectations, anyone who invokes notions of fractal geometry in the argand diagram can't be all that bad in my books.

as i said before, what you say about yourself sounds like you are an interesting girl.
sad thing i am from germany... just meeting up for a coffee (tea for me) would have been really nice.

but seriously - i am sure it will benefit you to work on your self esteem. bland boys not hitting on you shouldnt be something to drag you down. who wants to be a mainstream product after all?
you are you. you are the only you there is. be proud of that. i am 100% sure there are people appreciating you the way you are. look out for those instead of trying to please (and being blue because of not succeeding in) the masses. you dont wanna be a pop star after all, do you?
(my former girlfriend had serious problems with her self esteem as well, so i know help is easier said than done. hang in there and work on small things first)

Or, failing that, a right that's man for you.

I'm into math, which as you probably know can apply to physics, to social science (through statistics), to computer science, etc. Mandelbrot is a kind of fractal, isn't it? Unfortunately, I live in the US. Not many people are into science here, which makes me all the more useful, I guess.
