I like Classical Music and Trains!

But I wouldn't, these days, load you up on that stuff.

I used to be an "info dumper" when I was a kid.

I already have many fields of interest, to such an extent that I'm pretty much a generalist, so I could probably tolerate their narrow interests, though it's doubtful that I'd be able to keep up with and even enthuse with them on a level they would find appealing.

Really, there's only two subjects that would be a turnoff for me. Those two would be ponies and trains.

With the former, I've killed, butchered, cooked and eaten pony, so if their interest is in any one of those then all is cool. If it's to do with the cartoon, then I've no interest in it whatsoever, I'd literally walk out of a than stay and hear some talk about it, let alone enthuse about it.

With the latter, so long as your interests are traveling in trains to go places then all will be well. As soon as the conversation enters the territory of enthusing about trains themselves, my interest quickly waxes and wanes.

I don't have many interests besides spending time on computer listening to music, watching TV, & playing video-games. My girlfriend likes to read, write, draw, listen to music, play video-games, & watch TV. We seldom play video-games together but we do sometimes watch each other play. We don't listen to music together that much either. We do watch TV together, sometimes play board games together, we talk a lot, & just hang out together.

I think having one or two good interests outside of social media or celebrity gossip is good enough for me. That could be anything from creative arts to a physical activity.

If someone hyper focuses on a certain interest, they can be very knowledgeable and focused. I enjoy talking about a diverse range of topics and it would be difficult to communicate if they only wanted to speak about a particular interest every time.
