What do you mean dead profiles? I'm talking to a man I met yesterday, he has a kid. He asked me for lunch as friends & he knows about my cerebral palsy, aspergers & psoriasis. But I hasn't told him yet about me never dated before. Should I wait to tell him I never did it?
Hey, Kitty, I know you're kind of new to this, so bear with me. Don't disclose those things, except for perhaps the psoriasis (if it's noticeable on first meeting), until a later time. There are two reasons for this: 1. it can be used by predators who are looking for people that "don't fit" and thus are easier to manipulate and 2. if the guy is legitimate you don't want to dump all your negatives at the start, gradually introduce those as you get to know the person-- no need scaring him off before he even gets to know you. It's all part of "the game"-- your first few impressions need to be the best ones, and throwing in medical conditions is not the best way to do that. It's not lying, it's careful disclosure-- you're protecting yourself.
