Just generalizing but they're bound to be very pale. If you need your sunnies in order to deal with the glare off their bodies then they're probably a nerd.

I suppose if the nerd is some kind of environmental scientist they might show up at a beach.

A cheeky bastard with nothing better to do than stir up trouble.

If I was angry I wouldn't have used the word "cheeky". Arguing with my generalizations is stirring up trouble. So there.

So what? All nerds are obsessed with Star Trek and Pokémon? Oh good, I can go and tell all the people who teased me about being a nerd back in highschool that I am, in fact, not.

not all, but some are. and it's pokemon-hunting season. geeks are out of their dwellings for a limited period only

it's a silly question anyway. any on-topic answer will be silly. because, well, first of all: define "geek"

edit: oh the word she used is actually "nerd", not "geek". not that it makes any difference...

I thought they had somewhat different meanings.

I will just leave this definition here:

nerd
1.
a person considered to be socially awkward, boring, unstylish, etc.
2.
an intelligent but single-minded person obsessed with a nonsocial hobby or pursuit:
a computer nerd.

someone who is alone
someone who is combing the beach looking for treasures such as rocks and shells
someone who is making something with sand
someone who is sitting in the shade reading a book or writing or something
someone who has a snorkel

There's also a good chance that the nerd at the beach is being bullied. That's, in fact, how many nerds learned to stay away from the beach or any other place to have fun, let alone meet girls.

There's also the ones that would be looking to meet guys.....as nerds aren't all guys. Also they'd be more likely to just get disregarded at the beach than bullied probably though.

long story short, if you really want to spot a nerd at the beach, take some lucky charm with you to improve your odds that there'll be any, and look for someone who doesn't belong there

You'll find them sitting next to the tide pools watching the barnacles feeding.
