It certainly would weaken our genetic diversity, but I would imagine in a case like this males would be selected for genetic viability. We certainly would lose our humanity in the process of elimination.

People suck at determining the best "genetic path."

Just look at what we've done to "pure breed" dogs.

Let nature take its course.

I do not disagree nor endorse the idea, but if it were to happen, I would hope humans would use, scientific method, over that of personal agendas. There is real danger in that.
