Reminding herself loudly?

I do quite often about a lot of things; seems to help with my executive function for some reason when I say stuff out loud. It was a slightly tongue-in-cheek suggestion, though!

As we all know, undeniably, a shorter man/taller woman couple is still a “unusual” thing and a subject of gossip.

I was walking down the street, and i saw a couple holding hands coming to my direction; the woman was obviously taller than the guy; and both were wearing flat shoes.
My thoughts were like “thumb up to them, not caring what the world think!”.

But while I was passing just by them; I heard her telling him literally (translated):

“Remember, I am tall!”
and she repeated it twice, “Remember, I am tall!” .

o.O. I really wanted to spy on the rest of the conversation to learn what was all this about, but it was not just possible to do so without being a nosy stalking creep.

It’s a funny coincidence that on the same time while I was thinking about their heights, they were talking something related to height!

So why would she have brought up this?
What’s your theory?

Maybe she saw YOU walking by and she cared what other people think so she put on a show for you? It's all guessing. For all you know they may have been talking about it before they noticed you. There aren't many couples where girls are taller because most girls and guys are not comfortable when the guy is shorter. My Mom had a tough time finding a BF since she's 178, and she wouldn't ever date a shorter guy, so she lucked out with dad who's taller and was her first and last BF.

I have a female friend who's also pretty tall at 175 (and usually looks a bit taller) and she said a lot of smaller dudes hit on her and she refused, ended up with a guy taller than her.. While I agree that height shouldn't be a HUGE factor I would be embarrassed to date a taller girl just because the issue would come out so frequently like your couple did. The only chance I'd consider dating a taller girl is if we're truly soulmates than I agree love is love. I don't mind if she's the same height tho.

They are out looking for a new pair of shoes for her and he keeps suggesting things like this.

With me it's doorways. It doesn't matter how wide the gap, or that my shoulders are slim, it's only a question of

which side will get the bruises.

Never understood that
Such a waste of cake.
Just like those fake cakes on cake boss, yeah they look great but you can’t eat them.

I've only seen a few Cake Boss and those cakes are crazy 8O

I probably shouldn't of posted a Barbie as she is a symbol of how sexist gender ideals are marketed :jester:

They look great but are 75% Orr more not edible. Most are never eaten and just thrown away. When they deleted the cakes they bring sheet cakes to feed to people.
I’d rather have a ugly edible cake.
