I could really get into it if it's like those robots on Futurama where you can download a celebrity's likeness & personality :D

You should watch the movie 'Her' ...what a sad character.

That's a really good movie.

But yeah, this wouldn't be for me. To each their own but I find the idea quite chilling.

Yes, as long as it is an autistic AI.

I have trouble treating robots or AI like they don't have feelings, but probably no. Knowing would make it impossible for me.

I may never know. By the time such a thing is available, I'm likely to be impotent, old and senile, or very likely dead.

I haven't had much luck with actual women over the course of my life. As long as this AI doesn't cheat on me, I'd be happy with it.

Not for one second. I feel nothing but pity for those reduced to this - and there will be many of them in the coming years. Surely, there has to be a better way.

There is absolutely no substitute for a real person.

I might as well masturbate----for "getting it on" with a robot is just that---masturbation.

In crude terms, yes. I hope those considering this, once it becomes technologically and economically viable, will get help.

Sometimes, one has to be "crude" to educate people.

If you really want people to understand something, you don't use euphemisms----especially to people with autism.

Not me, I'm too bourgeois to speak in anything but euphemisms, I'm afraid. :jester:

Perhaps we should think about redefining the definition of life. Personally, I would gladly merge with AI and leave this inferior organic body behind in the past given the chance.

When I get in this sort of mood, I feel like going bowling.......

When I was in my early 20s, girl let me take me home after she watched me play Ms. PacMan.

What happened when we got to her apartment, though, is very much another story LOL. All I will say now is that nothing happened sexually.
