Except, for some of that time, men weren't accepting women without much money, they were causing it by denying them an education or decent job. Plus, women were considered to be owned by the father then the husband. Would you want a poor owner if you had no source of income yourself? Obviously now-a-days that's not the case but change will take time.

True. Great point.

I don't know that expectations will change much though. Women might be more tolerant of dating men who make a little bit less than them, but probably not those who are under or hovering around the poverty line.[/color]

Most of the women (yes, quite attractive ones) I've dated have had higher incomes or been wealthier than I am. Materialistic issues matter to materialistic people. That's not everyone.

That shortage made life much easier for me. It turned me into a rare commodity.

You know what you have to do Sly. You have to get a good salary. Yes I realise that's nearly impossible. It was for me too. But if there's even the slightest chance, you must try. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Is the solution to change yourself or is the solution to change the whole rest of the world? It's usually less effort to change yourself than to change the world.

For the record, this is not healthy psychological advice.
Thinking you "have to get a good salary" in life and believing that you have everything to gain simply from a paycheck is a recipe for a miserable existence...

As I have posted before, I believe that is mostly cultural and find the concept that a man must financially support a women (and a woman must be supported financially) to be offensive and hurtful to my family and friends (and you also). Most of my family and friends are not like that. Tell me we are the minority but do not dismiss us.

If ASD folks are honest and buck conformity, then the honest truth is that women can and do support their families financially and men can do and support their families in other ways. To do otherwise for these men and women would be to confirm to a cultural norm --- which has its Pros and Cons as we know. Where I live even NT couples are switching traditional gender roles, when it makes sense for the individuals and family.

Exactly. And those not on board with this approach are behind the times and don't deserve our time.

Some people win the lottery. Should I quit my job in plan of winning?
Will you ?
Or is the fact some win still make it ver much impossible for you to win and thus shouldn’t bet your whole life on being one of that some?

If 3% of single women in the USA will date down that’s a very small number and very unlikely to ever meet one and then they’d also have to have similar interests, find me attractive, me find them attractive, don’t have kids, live in my city, so now it’s Far less then .05% of single women if even that high. And as others pointed out dating down might mean makes less but not mean is at poverty level. So a female doctor might be willing to date a male accountant who makes few thousands less but she won’t be willing to date a cashier.

This would be the equivalent of men who will only date blond hair, blue eyed, petite thin women. They options are low, difference is society condemns men for such as superficial but women requiring men make a certain income is ok. I’d say men requiring fit thin women is ok too then. Mean there are some medical reasons to want a thin woman and thin is the normal human size. Just as women claim there’s practical needs for money so it’s not superficial.
Both are superficial. Ones just accepted by society and other is condemned. Women shouldn’t have to date poor men but men have to date fat women or their superficial and sexist.

I hate double standards.
Mean imagine if all we’ll off men required women be thin lol oh how some of these “ must have a good job” women would cry faul.

Well they claim it’s not about support just being with a guy who can afford their lifestyle they want. So if I was a millionaire with no job they’d be fine with me.

But as a poor man I can’t live their lifestyle of big house, multiple cars, trips to Europe and Asia, eating out most nights, expensive gifts, etc.
A lot dream and plan one 3 vacations a year, owning their own massive property. Yeah I can’t even afford a car definitely can’t pay half of a million dollar plot of land.
I can’t afford to travel with them either, nor would work give me time off for it.

It’s wierd that they say they want equality but then say they only date a guy who makes as much or more then them, thwt means the guy has to accept a woman who makes as much or less then him. That’s not equality. If I was a guy who makes more and a woman said cool I wouldn’t date a guy who makes less then me, I’d be like cool great advice, bye.
I don’t understand why men who meet their requirements would want to date them, what if she later gets a promotion and makes more , so she’ll dump him? What if he loses his job or transfers to another less paying one, she’ll dump him? Seems like more stress added on to what is likely a stressful job. And a lot of those women require the guy keep getting promotions and making more and more money.

I’ll add that some women don’t ever want to have kids so it has nothing to do with supporting their family.

But there’s plenty of such women here who won’t date men who make less or are poor, you could ask them. There’s men here who support their requirements, some posted above.

If I do ever win the lottery I’ll require a small thin attractive woman. It’s only fair right cause I’d have their requirement of money?
Probably never get married though. As others have put it money is forever looks isn’t, so in few years I’d want to trade in for a younger model as they say lol

Above is joking, if I won lottery I’d just become a hermit and never leave my house.
Maybe find a sex partner but I’d never date cause all I’d get is women who love my money not me.

He wasn’t saying it was, he was saying a guy who looks like that, handsome and very fit wouldn’t have any issues finding women to date.

No one kannoodles here unles they already dating. Everyone on bus wears headphones and keeps to themselves.

Not to mention the only women who rid the bus here are middle school and high school girls. So I can’t try to ask any of them out nit thst I can ask women out in person anyway

Most people don't quit their jobs in order to play lotteries.
Just saying.

Okay, you believe to be disadvantaged on the dating scene.
So, what are the main female disadvantages out there, to pair off?
Fat single mother, I guess.
Would you accept a fat single mother? Would you commit to her if you found her nice and warm-hearted? And, after you commited, would you stay with her even if thinner and more pretty women showed interest in you?
If your answers are yes for all the above, then, for her, you have an enormous advantage over more handsome and richer men.

Sly -
Sounds like you're stating that 97+% of the female population is a certain way while 3%- are another way.
I guess you're saying that you feel you have no chance to pair up with someone in that 3%- range?
That may not be far from a realistic odds of successful pairing where one of the couple is ND. I don't know. Tough thing to measure objectively.
I decided at around 25 that I had high odds of not meeting someone in that 3%- and went on with life and focused on things which were more in my control. I'm 44 now, married for 6 years, my wife has a great career that is fulfilling to her and I'm building my own...

Letting go of those things which are out of your control (like the randomness of meeting someone you're intellectually and physically compatible with) is really important.
You'll also find that other people find interest in other people who find interest in things other than other people. :)

Is there any activity that interests you and keeps you entertained?

Because they know they won’t win. But if there were like look others win so I’m guaranteed to win then they would quit their job.
I’ve seen quite a few women with thst mentalialy about men, they going to college so they guaranteed to get good jobs so why accept men who don’t have good job?

My point is just cause some women date down doesn’t mean one will with me and I shouldn’t hold out hope for such a slim to zero thing happening.

No o won’t date women with kids nor will they date me, they want and need men with good income to provide for their 4 kids.

I dont know if I want kids but I definitely don’t want 4 right away or some lady with teengages.

I want a mindless relationship experience. They already got thst, we aren’t compatible for relationship.

I’m not against fat women but they are against me, they want faith thin handsome men with good jobs.

What is "mindless relationship experience"?
