It bothers him...that’s why I mentioned it.

I want him to go full speed ahead.

WP members have gotten married to other WP members through meeting on WP.

I would say his chances would increase should he participate in threads on WP for a little while. Respond to other peoples’ thoughts with his own thoughts. Have conversations with others in the thread. Offer advice.

Saying that I hate a political party is considered mocking? I am free to state my opinion of their ideology - an ideology/religion or party are not a person, so it's not a personal attack (if it's the case then all members of the PPR would have been banned by now).

It doesn't matter if those threads have worked for other people. He has a right to be honest and reach out in the way he feels most comfortable. Lots of people here have male - female friendships via PM, whether they become romantic or not. I've talked to Leon by PM even though I'm not interested in a romantic relationship so yes it did "work", because he found a friend in me.

I don't want anyone to think they aren't welcome here.
