I know there's no age where you're automatically able to start dating, but I think you should be at least 15 or 16 years old.When I was 12 I was still playing with My Little Pony dolls.
My first date was when I was 12, and my first kiss (peck on the cheek) was when I was about 5 and chasing a boy around to kiss him, then his father grabbed him and let me kiss him, then he ran off crying.

Not old, maybe slow to mature but also we don't know exactly what the relationship was. Think of the spectrum that kids relationships exist on, some of them are 'age appropriate' in terms of seriousness and all, and others are much more attempts at pretending to be more mature than they really are. Since we don't know the details, we shouldn't assume that it wasn't age-appropriate.

Also my point is that I am back on the market. I have had good luck on here dating 2 members in the past.
I have really never been single more then a week. Guys tend to ask me out straight away.
