^ it is free for both; but there’s a premium service for unlimited swipes.

I bet most of their payers are men.

Oh and don’t forget the MtoF transgender too; most straight men wouldn’t want to date one.

Well, speak for yourself. I'm straight and I've found plenty of trans women attractive. They definitely shouldn't be excluded from a list of "real" women on dating apps.

I think he is saying it just complicates things more.

You forgot to mention how much fun and good times you've experienced within our online thing, darling. It's quite different from avoidance, isn't it, quite responsive one?

Try one of the pay sights. I got several dates out of a site that charges $15 to open two way chat with another member and 99% of them were to cheap to pay. Being one of the few men on the site willing to pay the $15 meant I was outnumbered by girls 5 to 1.

Soooo...

The argument that dating sites have ruined dating because they give women too many choices is false?

I mean, if most women don't use dating sites, then they can't be blamed for modern women's preferences.

No I meant like years prior. I wasn't born the moment I met you, though that definitely would have been a better life.

I think I've read these statistics before but I don't remember what ultimately kept me away from the dating sites. I did have an unfinished profile on one.

There's no argument about anything, relax and stop trying to project a narrative behind everything.

The thread was just a shared link.

I take it nobody knows?

Tinder shows you profiles of other people who have signed up. Profile by profile, the user can choose to LIKE or DISLIKE a person. Likewise, these people see your profile. If you LIKE a person's profile, and they in turn LIKE yours, you match and can send messages to each other.

Like most of these smartphone apps, it's free for all. But you can pay for an "upgrade" and get more services. This just means less advertisements and the ability to LIKE/DISLIKE more people. I believe Tinder puts a cap on how many profiles you can LIKE per day.

It's not just dating apps, a lot of these apps offer paid upgrades, but are initially free. I listen to podcasts and music on PANDORA, but have to sit through commercials from time to time, and can only skip songs I don't want to listen to so many times per day. They tell me if I pay, it'll be commercial-free and unlimited skips.

I find it curious so many men claim to getting multiple sex partners through these sites if there is such a disproportionate number of men?

Exactly

If I know anything about math, there's only one of him. 5 to 1 means there were 5 women for him... Anyway, I find the whole thing gross. There's something very unnatural about it.

At a rough estimate.

Xfilesgeek is exactly correct.

1. Attractive girls are usually taken
2. The single attractive girls leftover these days have friends with benefits. They have no reason to bed hop with strangers
3. Single attractive girls who choose to bedhop might be bored but they know where they can go to meet somebody f2f
4. The proportion of single attractive girls leftover willing to try tinder etc...is disproportionately small compared to men so they have the pick of the most physcially attractive and/or wealthiest men.

The idea there's some platform bustling with attractive looking women and few men is illogical.
