They sometimes say that when a young girl is mean to a boy it is because she likes him. They also say that some women play hard to get. Perhaps some people keep on believing that & thus sometimes assume that others are into them when the others don't act nice or friendly towards them. The women I made a move on were nice & friendly towards me before that which was why I thought there was a chance they might be willing to give me one but they never liked me in that way.

One what?

It’s rare and aspies are awkward - much more likely to be perceived as creepy stalkers than persistent suitors. Probably for the best that if someone indicates they’re not interested, even if they don’t say the words but their actions show it, that you leave them be.

Yup.

Because our social neural circuits misfire and we don’t display the types of socially acceptable behaviour that NT’s expect, and often the odd behaviours of an aspie are perceived as creepy or stalker-ish when an aspie is attempting to pursue someone they’re attracted to.

Stop deriving happiness from the pursuit of a romantic relationship and do other things you know make you happy. Boom, happy moments! Not exactly a lifetime of misery if you focus your time and energy on things that make you happy.

Go for it!

I'm so old----that I've never owned a home video game in my life. I used to play video games in arcades when I was in my teens and 20s.

I’ve had game consoles as a kid etc, but I’ve never even owned a tv in my life. I rarely use any of the TVs in the house & don’t really follow any shows etc and don’t play video games so have never had a reason to buy one.

Because Autism is the equivalent of being a Ted Bundy or Charles Manson to them.

Obviously, that was your context.

Yep, life is a biatch.
We just have to make the best of it.

Some get "lucky".
Some don't.
Such is life. <shrug>
