That is just so neat! Considering how sudden it is, and your brain a bit fried at the moment, take some time to decide what to do. But it's so refreshing when someone sees good things in you that you didn't see yourself. I actually think despite your apparent brashness that you are a serious and gentlemanly person. Best of luck with this sudden change of fortune.

Basically... it is dating with no sex

And sometimes even with her parent’s presence *shivers*.

So salad ( are you Chef’s salad or Tabbouleh btw?) what did you decide?

You can’t keep your princess waiting forever and you can’t take it that long to overthink, you either like her or not.

Some other hero may beat you to her.

I prefer my Greek salad if you like.

I've decided to accept the proposal.

How exciting! Hate to admit it but Face of Boo is right, you two are gonna have to pass muster with each other's families. I don't see any negatives the way you describe your fiancee, but these things are always tricky.

Congratulations again.

Oh, and do share the photos of your Tulba before the engagement, if you don't mind.

I dont mean to be too dark but the poor girl doesn't have a family. She's a war orphan and her entire family barring her, heck her entire village, was wiped out during the Syrian civil war.

But thank you though for the support.

           CONGRATULATIONS!

I hope you have many, many, many happy years together!

With my 21+ years of experience being married, my advice is: both of you need to protect and accommodate the other. And when you fuss at her, make sure you make it clear you still love her. (I don't recall if you said you loved her, but if you don't, yet, I'm confident you will!)

Oh, that's so sad. I have met Vietnamese refugees who suffered the same fate. I can't even imagine.

Well, so, it's your job to give her back a connection and purpose in life. I'm counting on you! (and she will be, too)

Like everyone here I am glad you are finding happiness and your personal experiences also answers a question about some personality traits you express on other threads so thanks for sharing.

Just wanted to draw attention to a couple of things you said.

salad wrote:
I didnt hate her, but me being not the brightest socially never ever once thought of the possibility of her liking me.

You then answer your own question,

Good luck and may she verily toss your salad
