I feel that I am very good-looking.

For those who have not seen a pic of me, I kinda look like Jared from the Subway commercials.

Of course I'm good looking! I'm the star of planet earth! The whole worlld spins around me :-)

I have adult acne, rosacea, liver and kidney necrosis causing my skin to have bruiises that look awful and still I get laid and I frankly don't know how. My ex told me that my inability to lie was a major point for her. I've never lied to her about that after our separation, I ended up in a pregnant womans bed in less than 48 hours later. And that I am dating a mother of two separated from her ex husband.

That's such a silly question isn't almost doesn't dignify a response... Are most NTs good looking? Are most anythings good looking?... I used to be compared to Hugh Grant a lot when I was in highschool... I now realize it was meant to be a compliment.

You gotta be hot if you look like Hugh Grant! :)

Thats an intersesting ponder. But come to think of it, my cousin (AS) I think is beautiful - she has long wavy dark hair, milk white skin, and killer cheek bones. My dad(AS) has also always been thought of as handsome by others. As for myself, I think I'm pretty, but not stunning or anything.

i never relly paid too much attention, but now that you mention it, there are others from the past that possess really attractive physical qualities.

hale_bopp has the right idea: beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I dated an AS guy whom everyone thought was ugly because he was so skinny and lanky and walked weird, but I was attracted to him.

There have been times I think someone is ugly, but after spending some time around them, they are suddenly beautiful. Like this one time I met a girl who had to have weighed 300 pounds(no joke) at a bridal shower and we wound up sitting together while the bride-to-be opened her presents. Within minutes I became ashamed of myself for being repulsed by her becasue she turned out to be really sweet & friendly.

In beauty I am not a star
My face is not perfect, by far
But then I don't mind it
For I am behind it
The person in front gets the jar!

You mean it isn't in the diagnostic criteria that we all have to be good looking?

This is what I look like on a good day ~ 8O

And on a bad day ~

It was taught to me when I was a young girl. My active imagination put the limerick as the words to an old Methodist Hymn "And are we yet alive?" and I sang it at the top of my little lungs for years while my parents and family alternately tore their hair and duct taped my mouth.
~sigh~ good times. . . good times...

In all seriousness, I've read this claim elsewhere, though I don't know how that is verified. More commonly, but maybe relatedly, I've heard the claim that those with Asperger's tend to look younger than their years (it's true of me, personally.) Maybe this has something to do with it?

I always said it was because I didn't raise children, that I looked so young for my years. After 50 though gravity has picked up and more and more I am starting to look my physical age.

I really think it is because all the 'secret NT face twitch messages' causes wrinkles and we don't do those!

what do you think?

I was frequently told that I look a lot younger than my years up until I was about 40.

I think now I am starting to look my age which is 49.

Largely, that's been my theory (ah, I'd tell
my wife not to smile, that 'twould age her).

But, there may be more. We seem to mature
more slowly in a lot of ways. It MAY just be
that we age more slowly. I know a couple of
fairly old (60's +) potential aspies - seem to
have a number of traits - and they are healthier
than I'd expect, as well as looking a bit young for
their age. So, I don't know if it's so simple.

What (and/or who) is attractive depends upon what you're looking at (and/or for).
