Do you really believe that?

Is that so wrong? This 'love overcomes all' and 'love is powerful and a blessing and the greatest thing ever' crap really irritates me. It's a tool of compliance; to get us to breed. Form bonds, strengthen connections and ensure our survival. Makes me sick.

Oh, yes. There's always the possibility that it's nothing more than that.

I saw it and I didn’t laugh. It made me cry; for the happiness now and the sadness of the future. It's the only thing I haven't laughed at....

The darkness and the light coexist.

Dictionary sez:

Quote:
"Cynical" suggests a disbelief in the sincerity of human motives.

I agree , read the scientific explanation of love and u ll realize that it's just a way of evolution

there's nothing spiritual or magical in love

Or life, or anything else.
Makes one ill to think in
these terms.

And, I know differently.

Infatuation, the set in biological drive to reproduce that floods our minds with neurochemicals. That is a joke. Yet it can't be ignored and can be a royal pain in the ass... :?

I think real love would be complete compatibility where biological instincts never get in the way. Unconditional love, where conflicts of territory and dominance and physical attractiveness are non-existent. Love is mostly logical. I don't like how the link above just termed this as merely 'attachment'.

I think it's a mistake to separate feeling and instinct from logic and will. When love is under trial, it may be indeed be scraping by on pure logic and/or willpower, but I'd like to think that the most beautiful kind of love is comprised of feelings and logic in perfect cohesion and measure.

Then you should disagree 100%, for the added burden of dealing
with a poorly phrased poll. :P
