I always used to wonder how big the chances were of me crossing the same path as a guy I really liked who really liked me back, and thinking about it too deeply made me see it as impossible. But it's not impossible, as I know well now.

I first met my boyfriend on the bus. He was quite shy and so didn't flirt or put on any charm, and even though I liked him I wasn't sure if he liked me. So each time I saw him on the bus and tried to flirt or at least just chat him up he seemed quite distant, and I worried he might have thought I was annoying him. But then one day he asked me my name, and a conversation got flowing. I could immediately tell that he was interested in me, and then he suggested a date. I was thrilled.

Nine years later and we are still the perfect, fairytale couple (well, except we're not rich and he has a few physical health problems, but you know what I mean, we're both happy together and always have been since he asked me on a date on that magical day around 9 years ago). He even tells me now that he had always liked me before we dated but felt too shy to express it. But I like shyness in a man. I find it attractive.
