Yeah I suppose

But I still think the statistic could be true but it's nothing to do with anything malicious. It's just the way it is

Like when you're young you might be more inclined to "punch" and thats where the 20% of people are but when you get a bit older and realise that the 20% are just people under the illusion then you start to get real and go for people who are more on your own level of expectations

Personally I've never "punched" because I just wanna chill but if I did then I might have always been left on the shelf

I don't think I've knowingly met someone who identifies as one

I'm still not getting it.
If the "in" is short for "involuntary", why choose to be one?

And if you somehow got lumped in with them, is being even more of of a prick really your best way to get laid?

It's kinda like they've claimed the word for themselves so as it can't be used as an insult against them, so it must have been used as a derogatory term against them in the first place

But that's sort of bit them on the arse

I don't feel sorry for these guys but they might actually be really nice guys if they give themselves a chance and dropped the label

It seems to me that the label is just something negative that people align with or embrace, due to circumstances, but which can actually be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I mean, for incels who move on from being an incel, either temporarily or permanently - who has the better chance of getting a date, someone who labels themselves as an incel, or someone who is just (hopefully temporarily) single?
