I like chubby/moderately fat girls in general, I find them more attractive, always have done. :P

Standards have absolutely nothing to do with it, because that's what I'm naturally attracted to.

Aspies girls come first generally. And some NTs might not understand why I would prefer some lass attractive, appose an NT who is very attractive.

NT girl who is down on her luck in relationships, might only see me as second best.

Aspie girls can understand more, due to their own experiences.

Don't fight it. If you can appreciate a greater variety of women, then most likely a greater variety of women will appreciate you. This isn't a "bad" thing, and one shouldn't be quick to write it off as a lowering of standards.

While it often has a noticeable impact at first, these notions of physical beauty don't have nearly as much value as society attempts to place on them. As I said in another thread, I don't care if the woman was rated as the "most beautiful woman in the world" (partially because I don't want society to tell me what I like... :| ), if I can't stand having a five minute conversation with her, if that short amount of time makes me want to put a gun to my temple, I don't want to be around her...for any reason.

I wish to hell that I could lower my standards,
as far as physical appearance. Just keeps going
in the other direction though.

At times I've noticed that my initial opinion of someone's appearance can be changed greatly over time. They may seem attractive at first, but in watching how they act, all of the little flaws become more and more prominent. The opposite has also been true.

The best case scenario of course being that they start off appearing attractive, and only become more so with time. Seems to be quite the rare thing.

Pretty conformist to even talk of it in terms of "lower" or "higher" standards. :P

There's a certain pattern in what I tend to find attractive. Sometimes I've found myself attracted to someone who doesn't fit that pattern, but I don't think I'm slumming in those cases. I just think "Oh, that's odd. Usually I don't like blond hair."

But I can't seem to control what I find attractive either, so I know how that feels. It just happens or it doesn't. Sometimes I couldn't even say why or why not.

Nah. I have my tastes, and they aren't TOO far from
the media induced view. The big issue is that they just
keep getting more and more narrow. And failure doesn't
seem to larn me nuthin'.

Well, for me, the pattern doesn't really break.
Pretty much has to be slender, with a body which
looks nearly perfect that way (though I'm willing to
tolerate a touch of extra fat as an 'improvement
project' I suppose). A perfect fair complexion, as
I can't abide by makeup usually. And a face that
I consider pretty, though there seems to be some
significant leeway as to just what that means to me.

And the physical is the LEAST of my requirements. :P

Even with your strict "guidelines" for physical appearance, at least you got that part right. :P

Thing is, the physical are (nearly) the
most apparent. At least IRL.

This reminds me of an episode of the Simpsons where Bart was wearing beer goggles at Duff Gardens, and found his aunt Selma attractive.
