^^ didn't tell her such thing and i doubt that she knows someone who knows me.

She's just negging you. That is, giving a compliment that sounds sort of negative in order to raise questions in your mind - effective for ensuring you spend some time thinking about her. Clearly, it has worked.

I was looking for that dating site I was looking at earlier - I've been trying to figure out how to act as close to NT as possible once I'm out in the dating scene - but I don't seem to find it. Here's another example from a straight dating site sosuave.

"Hey, I like that outfit. **pause for her response** Yeah, my (mother/aunt/grandmother) has one just like it!" This one is a classic."

It is sort of a back handed compliment though.

But seeing there is a thread on this comment...clearly the compliment worked
